It's exciting to see thousands of reads in my first few months here on HubPages! The Lord revived my heart in a big way in March 2009, though I've been a Christian for many years. I went to see Nick Vujicic, a 26-year-old man on fire for the Lord! What made his message so powerful? Nick was born without arms and legs! His website is lifewithoutlimbs.org My life was changed that day!
My Testimony
I was two years old when I first asked my family who God was. Their answer: "A big man in the sky". We went to a little pentecostal church where I was really confused as to why all these people were speaking in unknown languages with their hands in the air. My little sister and I would sing in this church pulpet every Sunday, a song called "He Set Me Free"! And how prophetic a song that was in my life!
After being moved around in foster care until the age of seven, I found the Lord Jesus Christ when attending a Baptist church in Southern California. I was baptized in water and went to church and Sunday school as so many children do. Of course, throughout my teen-age years I fell away and thus married an unsaved man when I was 18 years old. We had three beautiful children and life was good.
God got ahold of my heart again in my early 20's. A beautiful Christian woman ministered not only to me, but to my three children. She would help me by babysitting at no charge! My children would come home just full of the Lord's love, and my heart was revived again!
While being zealous for ministry at that time, the Lord showed me I wasn't ready yet. While I sang in churches and directed the choir, He needed to show me a "more excellent way". Because I hungered for more of Him, I realized there were certain people that stood out to me, those who loved Him more than I could understand. They seemed to have victorious power in their lives, guidance by the Lord I had not experienced, but most of all they absolutely loved studying the Word. When I asked these individuals about these things, they all said they had been "baptized in the Spirit" (see hub John and Jesus: About BAPTISM).
I didn't know what this meant, as the Baptist church had only taught me about John's baptism in water. Praise God, I was baptized in the Spirit when a couple laid hands on me. I began to speak with tongues and finally hear God's voice. This forced me into the study of His Word even more, because the spirit of antichrist sounds like God, but lies to us. We have to know the Word to survive! No wonder those women of God stayed in the Word! He led me into discipleship training, including inductive Bible study. Upon learning these things, I continued to disciple women, one-on-one for the next two years. And what a miracle happened with one of my students! God even opened the door for missionary work overseas where I saw multitudes saved!
However, through yet more trials and fires I again had my spirit at luke-warm for the last fourteen years. It started when my husband and I divorced. As I said, the Lord since WOKE ME UP, REVIVED His Spirit in me through the message of Nick, then moved me to study and write, which is the birth of these Spiritual hubs.

Thanks for the raodmap to your sites. Your story gives me just a peek of who you are and what your life was about before you became filled with the spirit and since. I am sure by reading your Hubs, I will be able to learn a lot more about you, your beliefs and your love for God. Keep up the writing and sharing about God!
