The Oracles of the Last Days: 2012
Oracles Point to the End of Days
Those named as notable “prophets” or “seers” are all over the internet, television and countless books. So much attention is focused on the Mayan and Hopi Indians, Nostradamus, and Edgar Cayce; even an ancient prophetess called The Sibyl. Did you know the Chinese I-Ching, the Masons and even the Web-Bot have made similar predictions? All of these are referred to as “oracles”. Recent episodes on the History channel compared the writings of many of these notable “prophets”, but gave very little attention to Biblical prophecy. I just wonder sometimes if this isn’t so popular that it becomes a big money-maker and feeds the fears of the viewers.
The Bible Prophet, Isaiah 47:12 states, “Stand fast now in your spells and in your many sorceries with which you have labored from your youth; perhaps you will be able to profit, perhaps you may cause trembling.” Spells and sorceries? Youth? Read on.
While Bible believers find these documentaries fascinating, in that we compare what is shared by these “oracles” with Bible prophecy, when it comes to the end of days, we are left with no absolute answers by these “seers”. The only future THEY seem to agree on, or so the media says, is that of the Winter Solstice of December 21, 2012 and that of coming great destruction.
The Bible Prophet, Micah 3:7 states, “Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.”
First of all, what is the Winter Solstice all about? The word solstice derives from the Latin words sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still). If you were to look up information about the Winter Solstice and its significance with Satan worship, you would be better “enlightened”. Its origins revolve around the “Sun god” and that of human sacrifice. The Egyptian Sun god is named "Ra". As an interesting side note, the symbol of "Ra" happens to be shown on one of the Jehovah's Witnesses doctrinal books called "The Divine Plan of the Ages" (see photo)!
In Roman mythology the sun is represented by Apollo, the "god of light". The Sibyl from Naples was a notorious prophetess who is said to have been embodied by Apollo when she wrote down her visions on oak leaves. Interesting, isn’t it? The 2012 Cumaean Sibyl prophecy predicts the world will last for 9 periods of 800 years, and that the 10th generation will begin around 2000 AD, and that it will be the last generation. Her prophecies are kept in the ancient Roman Empire, housed in the temple of Jupiter. Did you know the planet Jupiter represents Satan? See Oracle video below.
Common Denominators (Demon-inators?)
As I researched all these “prophets”, who are all dead now, I noticed special interest groups connecting these prophecies to their belief systems, in order to propagate their "spiritual enlightenment" (i.e. New Age and yes, Joseph Smith). Check out the following “reading” documented of Edgar Cayce:
“I had been born again in 2100 A.D. in Nebraska. The sea apparently covered all of the western part of the country, as the city where I lived was on the coast. The family name was a strange one. At an early age as a child I declared myself to be Edgar Cayce who had lived 200 years before…etc. etc. etc.” So, the whole Western U.S. is now an ocean? Edgar is reincarnated, living in Nebraska?
And also the following “interpretation” of one of his readings in relation to Biblical prophecy:
“John (the writer of Revelation) has a mental awakening when he attains the spiritual level of the super-conscious mind, within the throne of his own body. The four beasts are his four lower spiritual center's animalistic desires and the 24 elders are the 24 nerves from his brain leading to his five senses…etc. etc. etc.” You can see all this in the video below.
You might be surprised that Edgar Cayce’s initial religious experience is almost identical to that of Joseph Smith, the “prophet” that founded the Latter Day Saints (also a member of the Masons):
“As a young boy Edgar attended the Christian church and wanted to be a minister. He resolved to read the Bible through once for each year of his life. According to the account narrated by Edgar Cayce, at the age of 13 he was working on his thirteenth reading in his favorite place, a playhouse by a creek in the woods, when he heard a humming sound. He looked up to see a woman in brilliant white clothing with wings on her back standing in front of him. She said, ‘Your prayers have been answered, little boy. Tell me what it is you want most of all, so that I may give it to you.’ Though very frightened, he told her, ‘most of all I would like to be helpful to other people, especially children.’ Upon that the woman vanished.” Did you notice the age of 13 and his thirteenth reading of the Bible? "13 IS a Satanic number, in that it is associated with all things dark and mysterious, and inspires fear in the populace."
Joseph Smith also attended church and wanted to be a minister. He too, had a brilliant vision of an angel(s) or Jesus and God standing before him in the woods at a young age of 14.
Let's just take a moment to consider what the Bible has to say to caution us about "angels of light": 2 Corinthians 11:14 "No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light."
The Apostle Paul warns in Galatians 1:8: "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!"
Like Joseph Smith, the Hopi Indians also claim God was a human man that once walked on the earth (and they don't mean Jesus Christ):
“The Great Spirit had appeared to the first people as a man, and talked with them in the beginning of the Creation of this world.”
Youth, Spells and Sorceries
According to Isaiah 47:12, we’ve identified “youth”, but what about “spells and sorceries”? Have you ever wondered if these “prophets” have more in common? Do they have any anti-Biblical practices that aided them in obtaining their prophetical information?
The Chinese I-Ching is called a "famous divination system" used for the Chinese astrilogical horoscopes.
Joseph Smith is said to have used a “seer’s stone” at the time of his heavenly visitation.
Nostradamus is referred to as a “sixteenth century astrologer, seer, and healer”. He is a documented alchemist.
Edgar Cayce is “still regarded as the father of the New Age movement, and the foremost psychic of the twentieth century. His thoughts on the soul's journey, past lives, dreams, ancient civilizations, and astrology are still closely studied and followed by practitioners in these fields.” Edgar is also accredited with much of the answers to medical science. Many were healed by his transient knowledge. We know that Edgar’s gift first manifested upon hypnosis and continued with self-induced hypnosis or trances. Edgar had no memory of what he knew or said upon waking.
Everyone knows about the spiritual rituals of Indian tribes. The Mayans certainly relied on the stars for their knowledge as well. Indian tribes are known for chants, dances, smoking of substances, etc. to obtain heightened “spiritual” knowledge.
One of the most popular astrology websites is that of iVillage, and I quote them from their home page as follows: “the majority of the world’s population uses astrology at the day-to-day level, and not just for entertainment, as we do here in the West.” Do you find this a bit shocking? I used to look at daily horoscopes (which really should be called horror-scopes), until I understood what the Bible has to say about this practice:
The Bible Prophet, Isaiah 47:13 (KJV) states, “Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.”
Is there more information to caution us about "stars" in the Bible? Did you know that the fallen angels are also called "stars"? Revelation 12:4: "And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth." We know these "stars" are angels because of verse 9: "And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him."
Words of Warning
The common "fortune" of all these sources of prophecy is that the coming times are bleak, in that there is coming change that is apocalyptic: polar shifts, natural disasters, weather changes, plagues, threat of nuclear war, an evil dictator, and possibly the end of the world.
What do the Bible Prophets say about “seers, mediums and spiritists”?
The Bible Prophet, Moses records in Leviticus 19:31 “Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.”
And Leviticus 20:26 states “As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.”
The Bible Prophet, Jeremiah 27:10 states, “For they prophesy a lie to you in order to remove you far from your land; and I will drive you out and you will perish.” Jesus said in John 8:44 that Satan is the "father of lies".
So, while many of the oracles prophesied accurately, it’s obvious that they support doctrines of divination and the occult, let alone the New Age movement.
Are there any examples of signs and wonders coming from sources other than God in the Bible? Yes! Consider Pharaoh’s sorcerers and magicians. Moses and Aaron came to give Pharaoh the message from God, to set His people free. Look at the fact that both sides cast a staff or rod down to the ground that became a serpent! Surely, Moses’ serpent ate the other one, but both could do the same thing.
What is said about the end-time False Prophet? Like Elijah, this “false prophet” will call down fire from heaven and, unlike Elijah, even give life to a statue. Truly, these signs will deceive everyone whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, for the wicked seek after signs.
In Matthew 12:39 Jesus said, “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign;”
The Prophesied Antichrist
Surely, Jesus performed signs and wonders, yet fulfilled all 400 Biblical prophecies of the Jewish Messiah to the “t”, which is a miracle in and of itself. So, one can only conclude that the prophets of the Bible were 100% true. Likewise, the Antichrist and false prophet will perform signs and wonders and fulfill every Biblical prophecy written about them, including the killing of as many Jews and Christians they can. The Antichrist is known as the "son of perdition"; perdition means DESTRUCTION.
We read about the "god of light" named Apollo, right? The Bible prophesies about Apollyon, who is the beast that comes up out of the abyss, also known as the coming Antichrist! Apollyon, which is of the Greek language, means DESTROYER.
Interestingly enough, many Bible scholars (not prophets) deduct, based on the Biblical prophecies of Daniel, the Antichrist will arise out of the Middle East (possibly New Syria). He is predicted to arise among the major Muslim nations. Now, look at the obvious difference in the Qur’an and the Bible about the seven-year reign of this end-time ruler: The Bible calls him the Antichrist. Muslims call him the 12th Imam, the Mahdi! The Bible says two beasts will be active during that seven years: the Antichrist and false prophet. Muslims not only expect their Mahdi, but also Jesus "Isa" (who will "pray behind the Mahdi") to appear together!
For more on the Antichrist-Islam connection, I invite you to read my hub Islam and Revelation. Even the Hopi Indians prophesied about a seven-year period, which you will hear in the video below.
Who's In Control?
Indeed, the Bible does prophesy the “Day of the Lord”, the “Great Tribulation”, the “wrath of God”, and the “return of Christ”. Just as these oracles wrote from their visions and often used symbolism, know that none of them have a single witness that claims they rose from the dead, nor will they be able to deliver you out of the destruction to come (Isaiah 47:13). They have stood before Almighty God! The Bible clearly prophesied Jesus rising from the dead and He fulfilled that prophecy, too! For those who know the real Messiah, Jesus Christ, there is HOPE.
Who do you think gave the oracles their knowledge? Did they say it came from within? Edgar Cayce may have alluded to this; however, we know he also had an angelic vision, just like Joseph Smith. In addition to the I-Ching, the Mayans, Hopis, and Nostradamus consulted the stars and other means of divination. The Sibyl claimed embodiment by the Sun god, Apollo. The Masons consider Lucifer “light” (in astrology, just as Jupiter represents Satan, the planet Venus represents Lucifer).
Truly, there is a Satanic realm, just as there is a Godly (heavenly) realm. Satan is called the “god of this world” and, believe me; he is using every means possible to distract humankind from the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, the real Messiah. He wants us to exalt the oracles, the “I-gods” of mankind, and ultimately exalt the Antichrist as god…how? Through signs and wonders! Did you ever think that none of these oracles could control these catastrophic events? If they could, why didn’t they call forth peace and harmony? Aren’t they “evolved, enlightened, supernatural” human beings? Is God the Giver of these catastrophes or is Satan? If we think that humanity has the last say, we are greatly deceived.
Choose Today Whom You Will Serve
Joshua 24:15 states “If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
There’s only one thing man has the power to do in these last days. Fall on our knees, repent and give our lives over to Jesus, for He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. That is the truth, and all will KNOW IT when the Day comes. Unbelievers will curse God when they see the coming of Jesus in the clouds and even try to destroy Him. There’s NO WAY. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except through HIM (John 14:6). Is He a true prophet? If so, then He is the only true Messiah, the Christ (Anointed One). Do you believe?
In Matthew 24:24 Jesus says, “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.” How are the saved spared from deception? They believe what the Bible says!
So, sit back and listen to each angle of end-time prophecy, and I pray you will accept your Savior, Jesus Christ today. If you don’t know what it means to be saved, I invite you to read my hub called Come to JESUS: Salvation.
